The Kisumu based Chatthe Group of companies has joined Cofek as a corporate benefactor member.
The Chatthe Group of Companies comprises 5 companies namely Kibos Sugar and Allied Industries Ltd; Kibos Paper and Packaging Limited; Kibos Distillers Ltd; Kibos Fertilizers Ltd and the Kibos Sugar Refinery Limited.
Conveying the development, Group Corporate Affairs Ms Joyce Opondo said she looked forward to an exciting partnership towards a win-win.
The group has had a very strong investment in corporate social responsibility including offering huge quantities of sanitizers as well as supporting the neighbouring Kibos community after demolition of their habitat.
Cofek is keen to work with the Chatthe Group to ensure that environmental matters and further value for money is attained from sugar, paper, alcoholic beverages, fertilizers and other consumer goods manufactured by the company attain further value for money
Corporate benefactor members are recruited strictly by invitation. They do not participate in Cofek special and annual general meetings.
