Communications Authority (CA) says it has collectively fined Sh311.6 million for poor service with with Safaricom bearing the heaviest brunt of it all
Safaricom, Airtel and Telkom Kenya all failed to meet the quality of service standards for the financial year 2015/16.
According to the CA report, Safaricom, which was fined Sh270 million, paid up. Airtel and Telkom Kenya fined Sh26.6 million and Sh14.9 million respectively.
The two firms are yet to pay having raised concerns with the penalty.
