“Milk ATMs” selling less quantity of milk, for more

I must say milk dispensing machines were more than welcome in Kenya. This service was embraced by the kadogo economy in a very positive way.

However, I have been observing for about a month now since milk became a challenge price-wise. More so, I started moving from outlet to another as I noted price was varying, but what shocked me is the measure isn’t accurate.

This morning I bought a half litre, back in the house I measured and realized its 350 ml.

I have noted this a third time now all at different locations in Kawangware. Which body is in charge of ensuring weight and measures are adhered to?

This is also evidenced where customers purchase liquid cooking oil in small quantities and retailers are dispensing wrong measurements. I feel this isn’t right at all.

Kindly assist.
