Justice Weldon Korir has temporarily stopped former Vision-2030 Director General Mr Mugo Kibati’s (pictured left) auctioneers from attaching Cofek office property over an award claim of Sh357,207 plus auctioneers fees of Sh52,000.

The claim arose from Judicial Review Application No. 227 of 2011 between Cofek versus the Attorney General & Others.

Keysian Auctioneers acting for Mr Kibati issued a proclamation notice dated February 11, 2015 to Cofek.

Cofek had unsuccessfully challenged the then non-competitive appointment of Mr Kibati who has since left Vision-2030 board.

Cofek thereafter appealed the ruling but there have been no orders to delay the award claim.

Cofek has today received a temporary reprieve with inter-party hearings to be held on February 20, 2015.
