Chief of staff and Head of Public service Joseph Kinyua has appointed a 9 member committee to implement government digital payments.
It will be chaired by Justus Nyamunga of The National Treasury and Esther Koimett (pictured), also of Treasury as co-chair.
Others are Peter Kariuki of the Presidency; John Njiraini of Kenya Revenue Authority; Victor Kyalo of ICT Authority; Mark Lesit of Central Bank of Kenya.
Alex Kabuga of Kenya Trade Network, Muhoni Kimani of the Attorney General’s office and Moses Serem of Judiciary will be members.
The mandate of the taskforce will be to implement the Government payment gateway and to ensure that citizens and businesses are enabled to make payments into Goveernment electronically by July 1
